6 Ways to Manage an Anxiety Attack

For example, you are speaking in front of so many people for the first. Another way that can trigger it is if you remember something that you regret doing. This is never good as it will distract you from the things you love doing the most. It would be better to combat this so that you can avoid having it in the future. 1. Get Enough Sleep


If you don’t get enough sleep, you are going to be stressed. That will definitely lead to an anxiety attack. It is highly recommended to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. If you decide to lose sleep because of playing games and watching movies, you are not doing your body any favours. It would be better to sleep early then wake up early so your day would become pretty productive.

2. Take Deep Breaths


When you are a bit nervous, you must take numerous deep breaths until you feel better. This is a time when you must take as many as you want. After all, it is free and there is no stopping you from doing it. It is like the warm-up to a long workout. It is also possible to do numerous exercises while doing breathing exercises. Thus, you will be losing calories while deeply breathing.

3. Welcome Humor


Laughing can certainly cure stress so the chances of having an anxiety attack would be minimized. Why not download a comedy movie or watch something funny on YouTube? There are a lot of stand up comedians who have free videos there. You will definitely be able to relate to their jokes since most of them joke about today’s issues. You can also hang out with friends who are good at making you laugh. There are some comedians who are not really funny though so better avoid them and focus on the ones who are funny.

4. Change Your Diet


If you are always eating unhealthy food like candy, milkshakes, chocolate, and cotton candy, better change that immediately. After all, sweets affect your brain in a bad way. There is nothing good that can come out of eating sweets. Good thing, there are a ton of healthy alternatives to them that have zero sugar. Another option would be to try supplements so that you won’t have to worry about that bulge in your tummy. When you are overweight, it will certainly lead to stress. After all, you could look in the mirror and see that you are completely out of shape. You are going to be frustrated because you don’t know what you are going to do to lose that belly and the best way to do it is by changing your diet.

5. Think Positive


It is true that there are a lot of negative people in the world. It would be best to stay away from them so that you will just think positive thoughts. If you think positive all the time, you are going to forget about all your problems. If negative things happen, you can just think that everything happens for a reason.

6. Keep Busy


You are going to be stressed less about past problems if you keep yourself busy even if it is during the weekend. If you are bored, you can volunteer for charity organizations. It would feel great to help people who are in need. There are a bunch of feeding programs for street children and stray dogs that happen over the weekend.

Now that you know how to manage an anxiety attack, that does not mean that you should look forward to it. In fact, you would want to get rid of it as soon as possible. You would not want to encounter it too often because you will end up wasting time thinking about something you should not even think about anymore. It is normal to have it but you must see a doctor about having medications often if the attacks happen a lot.
